The European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS) will bring together researchers, heritage professionals and partners from across Europe in Paris on 12 to 13 November 2026 for two days of discussion, collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Following the successful inaugural annual event in Florence in 2025, this year’s programme will explore developments in heritage science research infrastructure, digital innovation, access to services and interdisciplinary collaboration. Hosted by the E-RIHS French National Node, the event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the heritage science community and discover the latest opportunities available through E-RIHS.
The event is organised in two half-days, each with a dedicated topic focus:
- Thursday 12 November 2026: E-RIHS User Meeting: ARCHLAB in focus
- Friday 13 November 2026: E-RIHS ERIC Annual Event
E-RHIS User meeting: ARCHLAB in focus
The event opens on Thursday 12 November with a dedicated afternoon session on ARCHLAB, one of E-RIHS’s four integrated service platforms. Hosted at the Institut National du Patrimoine in Aubervilliers, the meeting will introduce participants to the unique resources available through ARCHLAB, including scientific documentation, samples, reference materials and specialist collections held by leading museums, conservation centres and research institutions across Europe.
E-RIHS ERIC Annual Event
On Friday 13 November, the E-RIHS ERIC Annual Event will take place at the Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France (C2RMF) in Paris.
The programme will highlight DIGILAB, E-RIHS’s platform for digital data and tools, alongside wider developments in digital cultural heritage. Sessions will also showcase how E-RIHS supports scientific and methodological innovation through its FIXLAB and MOLAB platforms, and how the infrastructure collaborates with partner research infrastructures across Europe.
Together, these events provide an opportunity to learn more about the expertise, facilities and services available through E-RIHS and to build connections across the international heritage science community.
